I WATCHED X-MEN ORIGINS

And to avoid killing your friends page...

I'm probably being biased because he is one of my most favourite characters ever, but Deadpool was the best thing about the movie, even if he only lasted for 15 minutes. That scene where he blocked and sliced the bullets with his swords was just, unf.

And yeah, that bastard Victor killed him so I was a little sad, but the movie continued to be awesome--the metal getting injected into Wolverine's skeleton, the nice old couple who let him stay with them overnight, the action scene between him and Agent Zero, not to mention the one with Fred where I nearly fell of my chair laughing.

That's when Gambit was introduced, and all was right with the world again :3 Of course, when I found out Kayla was working for Stryker, I felt bad for Logan (not too much because Jake already told me this part of the movie even though all I asked him was when Gambit would appear) but I really thought they were stretching it a little with Emma being her sister. I mean, if there were more X-Men movies in the future, I'd have loved to see Emma Frost as her own character.

I cried when Weapon XI was introduced, though. My Wade being controlled by Stryker was just too much to bear D: There are a few characters that I don't like in X-Men, but I seriously hate Stryker with all my guts. What drove me over the edge was his mouth was sewn close. Wtf Stryker? I know at the beginning of the film he said that Wade's mouth was his only problem, but I wouldn't have taken that so literally :(

Then there was another fight scene, and Wolverine's memory being erased. The fact that Kayla asked Stryker to keep walking instead of making him shoot himself irked me, but yeah, if she had done that then there would be no X2 so. The end of the movie was only satisfying because there was more Gambit!

And of course, there were four endings after the credits. I couldn't care less for the one with Stryker. The one with Weapon XI still being alive creeped me out, but the one where the guy in the black coat came and grabbed the head before it's revealed that he's actually Wade and he's still alive had, no, has me grinning for the next 12 hours.

Most awesome line in the film was in the last ending:
Wolverine drinking in a bar in Japan
Bartender: Are you drinking to forget?
Wolverine: I'm drinking to remember.

Well, yeah, this isn't a review so much as it is my fangirling because I really had to get this out of my system before I can start revising for my Chem exam tomorrow, but the movie is definitely worth watching in the cinema theatre. If not for the plot, then go for the action scenes.

And I'm over getting older.

Until now, all I knew was that I felt more than just pity for Draco in HBP, but whenever people asked me why he was my favourite character, I couldn't come up with an answer. Now I know. It's a shame, though. If whatever's written in the editorial true, then JKR obviously did a shitty job of maintaining Draco's character in DH. I mean, I completely get the Room of Requirement scene, but the part where he pleads with the death eaters--she might as well have put on a sign saying "Draco fangirls, die die die". Not to mention that she made him have a ~receding hairline~ in the epilogue, but that's another story.

But really, my point here is, there's no other book that I've reread this many times, analyzed this closely, and fangirled over this much, because, guess what? It's EPIC. Y/Y? And the fact that Twilight and Harry Potter are mentioned in the same sentence without the word "pwns"--in the correct manner, mind you--pisses me off beyond belief. Compared to HP, Twilight is like one of my mum's drawings (sorry mum, but you do always brag about it despite, well). I agree that the first book is fairly entertaining and all, but, I mean, c'mon. Seriously people?

Harry Potter is realistic--and don't give me crap about how wizards and werewolves aren't; I'd be the one laughing if you do--, well-planned out and well-executed. Yes, I'll bitch about how my favourite characters died and how Draco and Harry are meant for each other and that anyone who doesn't see that Sirius/Remus in the forest scene in DH was completely canon needs a fucking microscope to see, but that doesn't mean I like this series any less.

Twilight, on the other hand? It's a teenage romance--I'm omitting the word novel due to obvious reasons--written to and for get(ting) rid of boredom. You read it once or twice, and be happy that a vampire will ever "love" a mortal (a mary-sue, sure, but it's a step). I mean, yeah, he almost killed her and apparently dug a hole into her uterus, but hey, what does that matter, right? He dazzles the fangirls right off the page. DIE, EDWARD CULLEN, DIE.

There's absolutely no competition, but go vote here anyway so that we can show those Twilighters a thing or two. Btw, even the comments are way more entertaining than Twilight.

In all honesty, I don't give a damn about the Oscar. But yes, he deserves it more than anyone else. Without him, TDK wouldn't have been such a hit. I mean, sure, with the special effects and the other characters, it'll be a fairly entertaining movie, but the Joker outshined everyone else. Right from the start of the movie, he had my attention.

And as the film progressed, I only found myself getting more and more attached to the character. From his hilarious quips to his evil schemes, I loved all of him. And in some scenes, I actually thought he was cute. In this really messed-up way, of course. But he was. Like that time when he was in that nurse outfit and walking out of the hospital, and then he had to jump up and down to make sure that the whole building exploded <3

That probably just sounds completely weird and crazy and god knows what else, but as far as I'm concerned, if I can learn to love someone as different and creepy and just plain psychotic as him, especially considering his scars and his make-up, then there must be something special in him. Hell, I actually enjoyed his whole outfit. It gave the Joker a whole new look.

And all this thanks to Heath Ledger. I can't possibly be more grateful to him for giving all of us one of the best performances to grace this Earth, and I'm glad that it was the last thing he did. I'd say Viva La Vida, but, you know. So. May peace be with you, Ledger, if not in life, then in death. You'll go down in history <33

Episode 7, no question. It was the beginning of the pairing that brings me indescribable joy. Otherwise known as Blair/Chuck, or for short (and for kicks), Chair. So, I'm back now, and of course, I've a lotta stuff to fangirl about. First of all, was that mini-Brendon and mini-Ryan at the starting of the video? They're both cute, tbh. I laughed at part when PATD came out from the doll thingy that could be opened, lol. Leave it to them to come up with something like that.

One of my favourite scenes of Brendon was when he was blowing (ha, this reminds me of that icon--blowjob. bb, you're doing it wrong. Whoever made it, wins at life) that horn. Oh, and when they were riding those weird cycles--Brendon looked funny in his outfit xD And Jon fell of, haha.

I also loved the part when the mini-PATD go inside the doll thingy (someone please comment with what this is called) again, and hit a tree, and then the older-PATD comes out instead :] The one with the ringmaster's outfit was obviously supposed to be Brendon. Day of Silence

So. The Day of Silence is a national event held in the US to protest against the bullying and (physical/sexual/emotional) harrassment of LGBT (lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transexuals). You're supposed to stay silent throughout the day, and break the silence at the end of it. Some friends and I got around to talking about it, and we were wondering why we couldn't hold it in Singapore, too.

We're going to hold it on the 2nd of May. It's unofficial, of course, and is a risk 'cause the goverment here isn't exactly, you know, supportive of LGBT. But since we're still minors and all these homophobes here aren't going to magically transform on their own, we think it's a risk we're willing to take. Because, let's face it, homophobia is something dark and ugly, and just plain disgusting.

If you're interested in participating in this movement, you're advised to type up your own note to present to your teachers/classmates/friends to explain the reason for your silence. Please encourage your friends to take part in it, too. For those who have classes/cca where you have to talk, for example, drama or maybe an oral exam, you may just stay silent for a short period of time, maybe during recess or the lunch hour.

Please help us spread the word to others. The more people who know about it, the better. Thank you.
