In all honesty, I don't give a damn about the Oscar. But yes, he deserves it more than anyone else. Without him, TDK wouldn't have been such a hit. I mean, sure, with the special effects and the other characters, it'll be a fairly entertaining movie, but the Joker outshined everyone else. Right from the start of the movie, he had my attention.

And as the film progressed, I only found myself getting more and more attached to the character. From his hilarious quips to his evil schemes, I loved all of him. And in some scenes, I actually thought he was cute. In this really messed-up way, of course. But he was. Like that time when he was in that nurse outfit and walking out of the hospital, and then he had to jump up and down to make sure that the whole building exploded <3

That probably just sounds completely weird and crazy and god knows what else, but as far as I'm concerned, if I can learn to love someone as different and creepy and just plain psychotic as him, especially considering his scars and his make-up, then there must be something special in him. Hell, I actually enjoyed his whole outfit. It gave the Joker a whole new look.

And all this thanks to Heath Ledger. I can't possibly be more grateful to him for giving all of us one of the best performances to grace this Earth, and I'm glad that it was the last thing he did. I'd say Viva La Vida, but, you know. So. May peace be with you, Ledger, if not in life, then in death. You'll go down in history <33
